With over 20 years of experience working in the NHS, I've had the privilege of supporting countless women through some of life's most challenging moments—whether facing anxiety, trauma, or the unique struggles of antenatal and postnatal depression. About Me
I am a compassionate, approachable counsellor who has worked with a diverse range of clients, including women, men, and young adults.
I understand that life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and I am here to offer a caring and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.
As your counsellor, my goal is to walk alongside you as we work together to improve your well-being, happiness, and sense of self. Many of my clients have shared that counselling was one of the most meaningful changes they’ve ever made, and I hope to offer you the same transformative experience.
My approach is rooted in Gestalt therapy, but I also draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet your unique needs. Together, we will gradually break down unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviour, raising your awareness and empowering you to take control of your own direction in life.

I’ve been fortunate to work with individuals in both clinic settings and in their own homes, where I’ve had the privilege of listening deeply and paying close attention to the details of each person’s unique situation. Through my extensive experience, I’ve refined my listening skills, ensuring you’ll feel truly heard and understood. Together, we’ll explore where you’re feeling stuck and work towards making meaningful changes.
Free Introductory Session
I offer an complimentary 20 min phone call session, this will allow us to explore what your needs are. Sometimes, this can be emotionally charging, as it may be the first time you have been attentively listened to. Following this, we can arrange a time to meet online or in person.
Session Information
Each counselling session lasts for 50 minutes, the last 10 minutes of the "therapeutic hour" is set aside for note writing and reflection. Ideally we will meet at the same time each week. However, if you need a more flexible schedule, please let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate you. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, tailored to your individual needs.
FAQ
What will it cost & How will I make a payment?
£65 per session. Concessions for NHS workers and students are available Fees can be paid by cash or BACS transfer at the end of each session.
Is there a cancellation policy?
If you cancel your session with less then 48 hour's notice I will charge you the full fee for the missed session. However, if you can provide advanced notice, I will do my best to accommodate another appointment. Whenever possible, I will try to reschedule you within the same week.
How old do I have to be to use your service ?
Although I have experience working with school aged children, I currently work with clients aged 17 and over.
How many sessions will I need & How Frequently ?
The number of sessions you'll need will depend on the depth and complexity of the issues you wish to address. Typically, short-term therapy requires a minimum of six weeks to show results. However, therapy is a personal journey, and some individuals may find greater benefit from longer-term work that extends over several months or even years. If therapy is to be effective, it is important that we meet for weekly sessions.

Therapy Rooms In St Albans
I offer therapy from two discreet locations in St Albans, each conveniently situated near city centre car parks and just a 10-minute walk from both St Albans City and Abbey train stations.
Online Sessions Available
I also offer online therapy sessions , providing you with the flexibility and comfort of attending from your own space. Research indicates that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions, though individuals may experience it differently. With my experience in both formats, I can assess and advise if I believe online therapy may not be suitable for our work together.
